In September last year Cameron agreed to take in 20,000 Syrian refugees over the next five years.That is 20k in total not 20k per year.

Unfortunately you will never win an election with the politics of the hard left. It does not appeal to the ordinary voter. Labour made the mistake of opening the leadership contest to grass route members and they elected first Milliband and now Corbyn, who may be sincere in their beliefs but can not compete with the other lot. You need pragmatic professional polititions running the show, but I feel that all of these people will now leave the party. Now you will get conservatives politics with a big C, with no effective opposition for at least a decade. So we can look forward to more austerity and simultaneous tax breaks for the already rich, and the decimation of public services.
Those of you who want less immigration will hear lies about tighter controls, while more workers from abroad flood in and work for big business at cut rates.

They are not only camped up in Calais are they.
